Hey friends.

Welcome to the Build in Bear newsletter, formerly known as Web3 Seems Legit 👋.

For over half a year now, we’ve been giving you the latest web3 news in a quick and easy-to-read email, twice a week. This project just started as an experiment to see what people’s appetite was for digestible web3 news.

We’ve slowly grown to almost 2,000+ newsletter subscribers, but quickly found two big challenges to growth.

1. Monetization - The road to profitably through sponsorships is a long and hard one.

2. Speed and consistency - Compared to other newsletters that provide daily updates, we just can’t keep up with it, nor do we want to.

So we asked ourselves, what do we really want to do?

To give some back story, I (Oleena who is writing this) recently began working as an independent freelancer for web3-related projects last year. My core specialties are in content and go-to-market strategies. That’s how I met Rahul, who already successfully runs a digital marketing agency within the health industry.

Over the past few months, I’ve been asking myself…how can I grow my business and help more clients? How can I productize my services to scale?

When I brought this up to Rahul, it was serendipitous. The path forward was clear - we would join forces and start a web3 content and marketing agency for web3 projects. This meant that the newsletter (Web3 Seems Legit) would become an extension of our service-based agency.

And that’s how Build in Bear started.

So what can you expect from this newsletter?

Our unique value proposition will no longer be to provide quick and easy-to-read web3 news…at least it won’t be our main thing.

We want to speak with the builders out there - those who are already doing cool sh*t in web3 or those who want to get their foot in the door.

Whether you’re in development, marketing, product, operations or whatever it is in web3, we want to provide you with tools and resources to help you succeed.

What will we write about each week exactly? We’re not sure yet, to be honest. Once again, this is an experiment. We’re thinking of interviews, case studies, heck, even about our journey of growing the agency.

Our goal is to hit 6 figures in 6 months. (I just came up with this because it sounds nice, but I have no idea how to get there 🤷‍♀️)
